Final demonstration done

SEPTEMBER 22 – I prepared all the materials for my final teaching demonstration evaluation. I asked Ma’am Ade and some teachers at SMAN 4 Kendari if I could translate my discussions into Bahasa Indonesia and read them rather than having a translator to save time. Fortunately, I was allowed. We head to the classroom. I started my teaching demo through a “Guess the Historical Figure” game and gave prizes to students who could guess the pictures to make the game more thrilling. Then, I continued my discussion on “What is History and the Benefits of Studying History.”

Moving on to the students’ group activity, I gave the instructions and prizes to the first three groups to finish their work. After that, I gave my message to the students, thanking them for allowing me to conduct my teaching demo at their school. We took a group picture with the students, Ma’am Ade and Sir Egi. Ma’am Ade gave her comments and suggestions to me afterward. It was a success for me.

We went to Bravo Oleh-oleh Khas Kendari, a souvenir shop in the city. I went on to buy T-shirts for my family and me. I was planning to buy traditional snacks but was short on money. I’ll buy it next week before we go back home.

Pa Mustamin invited us to have dinner at his home. It was our second time to go there again. His family gave scarves to all of us. Mine was a green one.

After that, we had our dinner. They served us some viands. It was delicious. I also brought the snacks one of the teachers in SMAN 4 Kendari gave me. We tried dancing some traditional dance. Some steps were difficult for me since most steps are always moved by feet. I enjoyed it, though.
