Closing Program at SMAN 4 Kendari and UHO

SEPTEMBER 26 – The closing program in my practicum school, SMAN 4 Kendari, was simple but emotional. The headmaster called some of the teachers in the faculty room to join us. I was asked to speak on my behalf about my message to my practicum school in Bahasa Indonesia for the teachers there to understand. I almost cried but held back my tears.

After that, I gave simple tokens to my cooperating teacher and some teachers I've met there. I regret not buying enough since I first thought I would only meet a few teachers at Kendari. Sir Nggawu and I left my practicum school with me, waving to the teachers for the last time. I couldn't bear to cry anymore as we returned to my dorm.

Our closing program was held in the university's conference hall simply. I wore my Barong Tagalog for our closing program at UHO. We performed the unity dance we practiced with our fellow exchange students. Jasmin and I gave our speech about our impressions and recommendations for the exchange student program.

We later received tokens from the university and also gave our tokens to the Dean of FKIP. In the evening, we had dinner with the Dean and other officials at a restaurant. I love the food served to us.
