SEPTEMBER 06 – On the second day of my teaching observation, I got to observe the Grade 10 History class of Sir Egi once again. The medium of instruction once again was Bahasa Indonesia, so Sir Egi called one English-speaking student to sit beside me so she could translate the discussions. Sir Egi discussed this once again the topic yesterday in the other section. I also did the same thing by writing my observations.
The next class I observed was the Grade 10 Geography class of Sir Sinardin. The topic was the Types of Maps. The only difference is that he did not call one of his students to translate their discussions for me. I had to rely on using Google Translate to translate what was shown on the PowerPoint slides. Despite that, I understood the gist of the lesson thanks to the clear explanation and illustration of Sir Sinardin on the board.
